Lieutenant Christopher Salmon MacPherson was born at Halifax, Nova Scotia, son of the Rev. H.H. and Eleanor MacPherson, of Glen Allen, Ontario. He attended St. Andrew's College from 1911 to 1915.

He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Regiment (sic), but was attached to the Royal Flying Corps when he was killed in action (sic) on September 18th, 1918 at the age of 21 years. He is buried in Cambridge City Cemetery, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom (Grave Reference: C. 3630.)

Lieut. C.S. Macpherson Killed.

Lieut. Christie S. Macpherson, R.A.F., formerly of the Princes Patricias and the Royal Canadian Regiment, is reported to have been killed in an aeroplane accident in England on Sept. 18. He was in his 22nd year, and was the only son of Rev. and Mrs. H.H. Macpherson, of Guelph, and a grandson of the late Mr. Justice Patterson, of the Supreme Court of Canada.
