These badges, issued in the 1990s through the Regimental Store, exhibit a return to the diamond cut star which was discontinued in the 1970s. The backplate is deeply incised to make the very distinct radial and concentric lines of a proper diamond cut star, and they have a high degree of convexity in profile. Unfortunately, an update to the wide-baed Imperial crown pattern front piece had not yet been effected.
