SECTION IV. - DIVINE SERVICES, DEATHS, FUNERALS.

DIVINE SERVICE

112.     The places of worship of the several persuasions are as follows:-

Corps.Church of England.Wesleyans.Presbyterians.Baptists.Roman Catholics.
R.C.G.C.St George's.Grafton St.St Matthew's.Spring Garden Road.St Patricks.
R.C.E.St George's.Grafton St.St Matthew's.Spring Garden Road.St Patricks.

DEATHs.

113.     C.O.s. will report by telephone all cases of sudden, accidental or suspicious deaths occuring out of hospital to the civil chief of police, to headquarters, and to the medical officer in command of the hospital.

114.     On a death occuring, the death certificate will be furnished in duplicate by the medical officer to the officer commanding the corps to which the deceased belonged, who will thereupon forward one copy to the city clerk, and an application for a permit for interment. The interment cannot be carried out without such permit.

115.     In the case of interments in Fort Massy Cemetery. Deaths will be notified in writing by C.O.'s by 3 p.m. the day previous to the funeral, to the chaplain concerned, and application will be made to the No. 1 Division Officer, R.C.E., Glacis Barracks, for a site for the grave, the hour fixed for the interment being notified.

FUNERALS.

116.     When a funeral takes place, the following course will be adopted by the corps to which the deceased belonged:

(a)     A party of 1 N.C.O. and 4 men will be sent to the cemetery to dig the grave at 9 a.m. on the day fixed for the funeral. The ground will be pointed out to the N.C.O. of the party by the caretaker.

(b)     A N.C.O. and 3 men will be sent to the cemetary to act under the instructions of the military policemen at the gate, arriving quarter-of-an-hour before the funeral procession reaches it.

(c)     A N.C.O. and 3 men of the G.M.P. will be at the cemetary half-an-hour before the funeral procession arrives.

117.     In case the of a Roman Catholic, notice will be sent the day before the funeral to the superintendent of Mount Olivet Cemetary, who will provide a suitable site for the grave.
