1. All ordinary passes are to be granted at the discretion of Company Commanders.
2. A permanent pass, permitting him to be absent from his quarters beyond tattoo daily, will only be granted to or retained by a soldier below the rank of Serjeant after he has completed six months’ service in the Regiment and has not incurred an entry in his Regimental Conduct Sheet for three months nor in his Company Conduct Sheet for one month. Special consideration may, however, be given to the case of a n ion-commissioned officer or man of good character who is married, but is not on the married establishment.
3. A pass bearing permission to wear plain clothes will only be granted to a soldier below the rank of Serjeant, other than an officer’s servant, under the following conditions:--
(a) Not having any previous service, that he has completed one year’s service with the Regiment without incurring an entry in his Company Conduct Sheet.
(b) Having had previous service in Regular or permanent Forces, that he has produced a discharge certificate bearing a character not inferior to “GOOD”, and that he has completed three months’ service with the Regiment without incurring an entry in his Company Conduct Sheet.
An entry in his Company Conduct Sheet. Will in every case render a soldier below the rank of Serjeant ineligible for this privilege for a period of one year thereafter.
